HEALTH INFORMATION SUPERVISOR (Downtown Buffalo)
UBMD Primary Care seeking a full-time Health Information Supervisor to be responsible for managing and facilitating the goals and objectives of the various quality programs, clinical initiatives and improvement projects through the various health information responsibilities in the organization through oversight of the medical records and medical scribe teams. Will work with the Director of Quality Management on developing key goals and initiatives as they relate to health information. Oversight of the medical records and medical scribes teams including recruitment, addressing disciplinary concerns, performance evaluations and time/attendance, etc. Functions as back up for medical records team members at any of the company locations on an as-needed/emergent basis. PATIENT SERVICES REPRESENTATIVE (PSR) - TONAWANDA
UBMD Primary Care seeking a full-time Patient Services Representative (PSR) to work at busy outpatient clinic located at 2465 Sheridan Dr., Buffalo, NY 14150. Schedule will be Monday through Friday from 09:00 am-05:00 pm with the ability to work one (1) Tuesday evening shift(12:30-8:30) per month on rotation with the other PSR's.
Duties include, but are not limited to, greeting patients, check in/out, verifying insurances, scheduling appointments, daily copay reports/collecting copays, general customer service. NURSE MANAGER - DOWNTOWN BUFFALO
UBMD Primary Care seeking FT RN Nurse Manager to oversee it's downtown outpatient clinic at the Conventus Medical Office Building supporting primary care and specialty services. The Nurse Manager (NM) coordinates and manages overall clinical operations and supervisory responsibilities of the nursing department. The NM oversees RN's, as well as the LPN Clinic Supervisor (who oversees the medical assistants). The NM participates in and supports patient care with emphasis on patient response including triaging and timely follow up on medical concerns, referrals and diagnostic testing. Plans, modifies care and implements interventions as needed and communicates appropriate with patient. Manages schedule and identifies training needs, recruitment/interviewing, addressing disciplinary issues and providing overall guidance and mentorship. Monitors clinical workflow to ensure efficient operations and patient cycle time. Recommends workflow enhancement to achieve practice transformation goals. Follows PCMH standards. Works closely with Operations Manager to ensure a smooth transition of patient services from the back office to the front office. Implements workflows necessary to meet quality metrics (i.e. blood pressure, diabetes, cancer screenings, etc.). Responsible for completing/managing weekly vaccine inventory. Investigates patient complaints and ensures necessary follow up is completed.
Qualified candidates should have a valid NYS nursing license as well as a minimum of three (3) years of experience as an RN plus a minimum of one (1) year experience as a supervisor, preferably in an outpatient clinic setting. PATIENT SERVICES REP - COORDINATOR - DOWNTOWN BUFFALO
UBMD Primary Care is seeking full time Patient Services Representative Coordinator (PSRC) for downtown Conventus Medical Office Building to assume responsibility for management of the PSR front desk and phone teams, as well as all facets of the front desk. Responsibilities include managing day-to-day PSR employee needs, workloads, and schedules as well as greeting and registering patients, answering phones, scheduling appointments, entering patient charges and demographics, retrieving and updating medical records, collecting fees and performing general administrative and other duties as assigned by the Operations Manager. Will order office supplies and manage organizational needs for best efficiency, as well as manage office banking responsibilities. Will manage job assignments for PSR's to ensure workloads (prior authorizations, referrals, new patient process,s canning) and adjust as needed. Provide mentorship and training to PSR's and phone team. Assists in quality metric projects such as daily no-show, error weekly work, procedure book management, alignment forms, etc.). Will work as a PSR while managing coordinator responsibilities with duties such as scheduling patient appointments, capturing and verifying patient demographics, insurance, etc., greeting and directing patients, etc.
High school diploma or GED required, Associate's degree preferred. One to two years' experience working in medical reception, preferably in an outpatient clinic setting. NURSE PRACTITIONER/ PHYSICIAN ASSISTANT - FULL TIME
UBMD Primary Care is seeking full-time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant (APP) for inpatient Withdrawal & Stabilization Unit at ECMC. Will work as part of an interdisciplinary team to provide treatment and stabilization of patients with substance use disorders with a focus on Medication Assisted Treatment and strategies for long-term recovery.
Responsibilities include performing physical exams, ordering diagnostics, managing and treating substance use disorders, and managing and treating a variety of comorbid medical conditions. Responsibilities are assigned based on the needs and acuity of the unit and total daily patient census, as well as discharges, admissions and consults. Will also support the attending physicians working on the unit, as needed.
Must be a graduate of an accredited NP/PA program, have current NYS license and BLS certification. Must have active DEA license. Experience in Family Medicine/Primary Care and/or Addictions preferred. ANP/FNP preferred. Must have ability to work independently, be flexible, demonstrate excellent judgment and initiative during demanding situations. Flexibility schedule available for 37.5 to 40 hours/week with required availability to work one weekend per month and weekday on call in rotation with other APP's, based on availability of shifts.
Pay range includes base salary and incentive bonus paid quarterly for annual total of approximately $10,000 to $12,000 (on top of base salary ranging from $110k to $115k). Paid malpractice, 18 days of PTO per year (accrued biweekly), $1500 annual CME (pro-rated based on hire date for first year), 3% monthly retirement contribution by company, $75,000 in company-paid life insurance, short-term disability, as well as health, dental, vision, HSA, FSA, options for voluntary short-term disability and long-term disability and 8 total holidays.

UBMD Primary Care physicians are responsible for maintaining an active clinical practice at an ambulatory clinic and/or designated hospital. Responsibilities include: Prescribe or administer treatment, therapy, medication, vaccination and other specialized medical care to treat or prevent illness, disease or injury; order, perform and interpret tests and analyze records, reports and examination information to diagnose patients’ condition(s); coordinate timely follow up of patient requests for services regarding prescription requests, referrals, diagnostic testing and appointments for sick visits; and supervise nurse practitioner(s) and/or physician assistant(s), when applicable and required. Must have active NYS medical license, valid DEA registration, board certification or eligibility in Family Medicine, completion of graduate medical education program and completion of residency training program.
